BRAM STOKER DRACULA Bram Stoker (1847–1912) was an Irish author best known for writing the classic Gothic horror novel Dracula (1897). Born in Dublin, Ireland, he studied mathematics at Trinity College before pursuing a career in writing and theater management. For many years, he served as the business manager for the famous actor Henry Irving at London’s Lyceum Theatre. Although he wrote several novels and short stories, Dracula became his most enduring work, shaping the modern image of the vampire and influencing countless books, films, and adaptations. Today, Stoker is regarded as one of the leading figures of Gothic fiction.
